About Stop the War Coalition Melbourne

Stop the War Coalition Melbourne (SWCM) formed around the end of 2004 to protest the 2nd anniversary of the US occupation of Iraq. It is an open activist coalition, which any individual or group can be involved in.

We have been involved in organising many anti-war actions including for the anniversaries of the US invasion of Iraq, for Palm Sunday, against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and attacks on Lebanon. We also support the campaigns for civil liberties and against the Terror Laws.

SWCM meets every 2nd Monday, 6:30pm at RMIT, Swanston Street, Melbourne CBD.
